"This Super Liquor project represents a different side of our capabilities - precision commercial fit-outs with zero margin for error. When you're dealing with a national brand, there's no room for 'close enough.' Every measurement, every fixture, every light has to be exactly right.
We had to transform a bare commercial shell into a fully functioning retail environment in a short timeframe. That meant coordinating multiple specialised trades - refrigeration technicians for the wine chillers, data cabling specialists for the POS systems, custom joinery for the shelving units - all while maintaining Super Liquor's strict brand standards.
The technical challenges were significant. Installing those commercial-grade refrigeration units required careful load calculations and specialised ventilation. The LED ring lighting needed to provide optimal product illumination while managing energy costs. We had to ensure the flooring could handle constant foot traffic and potential spills while still looking pristine on opening day.
What really sets Black Pine apart in commercial work is our project management. We understand that every day a store isn't open is lost revenue. We worked nights when necessary, coordinated deliveries to minimise disruption, and maintained constant communication with Super Liquor's team. We actually completed this project three days ahead of schedule, allowing extra time for staff training and stock setup.
The result speaks for itself - a modern retail space that enhances the customer experience while maximizing operational efficiency. It's this same attention to detail and commitment to deadlines that we bring to all our commercial projects, whether it's a small boutique or a major retail chain. At Black Pine, we understand that in commercial construction, reputation is built one successful project at a time."
Process:
-
Commercial StrategyRetail construction requires understanding both brand requirements and customer flow. For Super Liquor, we analysed traffic patterns, sight lines, and regulatory requirements specific to liquor retail. We worked with their operations team to ensure the design would support efficient stocking, security protocols, and the customer journey from entry to checkout.
-
Compliance & CoordinationLiquor retail involves strict regulatory standards. We coordinated with licensing authorities, managed specialised refrigeration installations, and ensured all security systems met requirements. Our project management included scheduling trades to minimise disruption, coordinating branded fixture deliveries, and liaising with Super Liquor's national rollout team.

Precision Fit-OutCommercial deadlines are non-negotiable. Our team worked in phases - structural modifications, electrical and data installation for POS systems, specialized refrigeration for the wine chillers, then the final branded fit-out. Every element from the LED lighting rings to the promotional displays was installed to exact specifications, delivering a store ready for opening day.
The store features contemporary LED ring lighting, custom shelving systems, and climate-controlled wine storage with glass refrigeration units. Our team installed specialised flooring suitable for high-traffic retail, integrated point-of-sale systems, and created distinct zones for spirits, chilled wines, and promotional displays. The bold blue accent walls and strategic lighting design enhance product visibility while maintaining the Super Liquor brand identity.
